Wine Coasters

I created a couple new coasters with wine sayings. Hoping to sell them in a crafty store nearby. (Cross your fingers!) Made 2 sets to display at the store. I know a couple of them are the same sayings, couldn't find additional sayings to replace all 4. Anyone know where to get more cute/funny sayings?
This last one is just for me! I thought this was pretty funny. Most days neither the house nor me look good!!
The back of each coaster gets a cork backing. Just in case anyone was wondering what I did to the back of each one. Very easy to apply, just use my favorite Mod Podge to adhere. Love that stuff!
Thanks for looking!

Have a great day.

Religious Education Teacher Gifts

This year for my kids' religious education teachers I thought I would make coasters out of tiles. Since I didn't have pictures from each lady I thought it would be nice to use some Christmas quotations on each. Found these saying from a Google search, printed them out on tissue paper, then used the directions from SplitCoast Stamper. So easy to make, and (if I do say so myself!) they turned out pretty nice. Each teacher received this same set. Check out some of my other coasters that I created.

In case the print is too small to read, this is what is on each one -

For to us a child is born
to us a son is given,
and the government will be
on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful counselor, Mighty
God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace.
Isa 9:6

The best of all gifts around
any Christmas tree: the
presence of a happy family
all wrapped up in each other.
Burton Hillis

Christmas waves a magic
wand over this world, and
behold, everything is
softer and more beautiful.
Norman Vincent Peale

There's nothing sadder
in this world than to
awake Christmas
morning and not be
a child.
Erma Bombeck

I found these great gift boxes at the Dollar Tree - I love that store! My 4 coasters fit perfectly in each one. There was plenty of room for at least 6, but I only made 4. The presentation was great! I loved the way they looked.
This is how nicely the coasters in in the box. It is like they were made for each other!! I'll have to go back and get a few more.

Thanks for looking. And, have a great holiday.

Post It Note Holder

I found this very cute idea on YouTube! This would be a great Teacher Appreciation idea or even Mother's Day. I am going to try this idea with a spiral ring! Hope that works too.

Personalized Coasters

I made a BIG OOPS!! In one of my past posts I entered it wrong!! Don't go looking for it, because I deleted it! But I wanted to repost my personalized coasters. Splitcoast Stampers has a great tutorial for this process. Check it out here!

For Christmas 2006, I created about 40 coasters for my family with old family pictures from my mother's basement! Everyone was so surprised to see their face from elementary school or sports in high school. I love giving surprise gifts! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of my first batch of coasters!! What was I thinking! Since then I've made quite a few. Here are a couple - Enjoy.

This is my nephew a few years ago. He was walking in the ocean while holding his dad's hand. So cute!!

A few years ago my Mom was getting some experimental chemotherapy in Buffalo NY. While there she stayed at a home named HOPE Lodge, I was hoping these would fit in with the theme of the house. I hope you can read the words on each of them.

Courage is like love; it must have Hope for nourishment.

Hope is a waking dream.

Hope is never lost only found.

What oxygen is to the lungs, such is hope to the meaning of life.

For these coasters I printed the sayings on tissue paper, then stamped the images, colored them in with colored pencils. Finally adhered with Mod Podge, and a spray sealer.

Another example is of a child's illustration of his grandfather!!! Too funny, this child drew what he thought his grandfather looked like, I scanned it in, printed out on tissue paper, then put it on a coaster. These were a big hit!

This is a coaster I made for a doctor's office. From her business card, (wish I had a copy of her card) I recreated the background, then I had a problem with the Chinese characters, scanning in the card didn't work - characters were too small!!! Fortunately for me one of my neighbors are from China so I asked her to translate (it means healthy) and help me write the characters. Presto, this is the result. She really liked it for her office.

This is just a couple of the millions I've created (not really just a couple hundred). TFL
